Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesdays TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from - that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!

‘What does he know?’ whispered Lucy as soon as they were alone. ‘Charlotte, how much does Mr Eager know?’

From A Room with a View by E. M. Forster, p. 66.

I presume you mean the version with Helena Bonham Carter? Because while I'm reading I'm trying not to think about the most recent one!

Thank you for the reminder of what a good book this is. It's on my Spring Thing list.

I am re-organizing my TBR pile and just came across this one. I hope it's good :)

Your excerpt makes A Room with a View sound much more cloak and dagger than I remember it being! :P

I love this book and its Merchant Ivory adaption.

The more recent ITV version was horrible, wasn't it? George Emerson's accent and the changed ending were particular peeves of mine!

I like that!

"Gerry Heffernan was partial to church bells."

Not bad either, is it?

Kate Ellis, The Merchant´s House - a new, promising crime series which was recommended by a blogging friend.
